Essentially a Carrera 3.2 with chopped, more steeply racked windscreen and hood, and stripped-out interior. Most had wide Turbo bodies, but some were narrow and one or two had slant-noses. The 911 Carrera used essentially the same 2.7-litre, 210bhp engine as the previous year’s RS for all markets except the USA, where it used the 175bhp 911S powerplant.
