Year: 1992-1993

Finally, the Turbo got an engine based on the 3.6-litre 964 unit, albeit substantially modified. Distinctive 18-inch split-rim Speedline wheels covered big-red brake calipers. Suspension was lowered by 20mm (not US) and a front strut-brace was fitted.

Essentially a Carrera 3.2 with chopped, more steeply racked windscreen and hood, and stripped-out interior. Most had wide Turbo bodies, but some were narrow and one or two had slant-noses. Porsche insisted that the simple hood was not designed to be 100 percent watertight. 2065 examples were built.
