A 911 Turbo with the previously optional 30bhp power upgrade, consisting of larger turbochargers, uprated intercoolers and revised ECU. Ceramic brakes also standard. 18-inch alloys finished in GT Metallic Silver paint. Highly specced interior.

Not sold in the US, the Carrera 3.0 was basically the same as the previous Carrera but fitted with a new 2994cc engine which was essentially that from the 911 Turbo. This engine, with minor changes, continued to power the 911 until 1989.
