911 GT3



911T (A & B series)

Year: 1999-2000

Commonly called the MkI GT3, this was a lightweight 996 with a 3.6-litre engine driving the rear wheels. Suspension was lowered by 30mm and brakes were uprated. Available in ClubSport and Comfort guises, a total of 1890 cars were built, and it is believed that 103 were right-hand-drive.

The entry-level 911T was fitted, a 110bhp engine that, to save money, used cast-iron cylinder heads (as opposed to the Biral aluminium/iron items which gave more efficient cooling) and carburettors instead of fuel injection. Interior specification was similar to that of the 912.
